Hi! My name is Olivia I’m a registered acupuncturist. I’ve always had a passion for helping others, and a keen interest in the human body and healthcare. With a strong athletic background, I pursued a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology at the University of Prince Edward Island while also playing varsity hockey.

As a kinesiologist, I was introduced to acupuncture and its incredible benefits. I was intrigued by it, and through research learned how acupuncture can help a variety of conditions, both physical (such as frozen shoulder, back pain) and mental (such as anxiety, depression). This discovery led me to pursue a career in acupuncture. I graduated with a diploma in acupuncture from The Canadian College of Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine in Halifax, NS.

As I perform acupuncture, it continues to amaze me. There is always something new to discover and build on. I admire how the practice considers all aspects of an individual. That treatment plans can be specialized to the patient (even with a condition as ordinary as the common cold). Seeing patients experience positive effects and relief is a joy and incredibly rewarding.

I incorporate both my Western and Eastern backgrounds to treatment, focusing on finding the root of the health issue and taking the whole patient into consideration. I’m dedicated to providing quality care, comfort, and a healing environment to my patients.

I love being able to offer treatment to those who have limited options otherwise. So I’m excited to team up with Pelvico to help provide care for women and patients with pelvic/orthopaedic conditions.

Hey there! My name is Terri and I’m a Registered Massage Therapist having graduated from the 2200 hour program at CCMH. I am also a very proud alumna of Acadia University, where I obtained my Bachelor’s of Kinesiology in 2017.

I have seen a variety of conditions while practicing as an RMT such as pre and postnatal populations, pelvic health dysfunction, MVAs, sprains and strains, fractures, postural imbalances, herniated discs, anxiety and so much more. While initially going into massage therapy school with the intentions of treating sport/orthopedic issues, I have found passion within the unknown. My competitive side definitely shows when it comes to my assessment. I enjoy finding the root causes, complicating factors or previous injuries that may be linked to your current discomfort. My treatment style is very hands-on, using a variety of pressures to suit each area, person and condition. I am trained in Gua Sha and Cupping, although I tend to prefer using my hands for most!

While at CCMH, I did a clinical rotation in a pregnancy clinic, where we saw pre and postnatal patients. I have also have over 3 years of experience working with dozens of pregnant individuals and being an integral part of their prenatal care was very fulfilling to me. I look forward to being immersed within this pelvic health world and meeting all of you!

In my spare time you can find me with my Fiance Alisha and our two fur babies, Nellie and Murphy. When I manage to sneak away from them, I enjoy lifting weights while listening to true crime podcasts (it’s not weird I swear). Having grown up just outside of Yarmouth, I am a huge fan of the outdoors. Summer is definitely my favorite time of the year, where I am either camping, hiking, paddle boarding or at the beach. I’m very easy to pick out of a crowd, I am either always holding a coffee or eating a snack! Cheers!

Courtney completed her Masters in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University and her Bachelor of Science at Mount Allison University.

While at Mount Allison, she was a member of the women’s varsity soccer team and served three years as the athletic therapist for the Mount Allison women’s hockey team. During that time, she discovered the role of physiotherapy in athletics and found her passion for helping others treat and manage their injuries.

For the past few years, Courtney has been treating at a primarily orthopedic clinic with a sports focus and has done sports coverage for several teams in the Halifax area. Although she loves sports rehabilitation, she has always had a strong interest in women’s and pelvic health. After realizing how under-serviced this area of practice is and how often pelvic health concerns were arising in the client population she decided to act on this opportunity. She completed her Pelvic Health Levels and is thrilled to offer these services to her patients and integrate the knowledge from these courses into her practice.

Her approach to physiotherapy is very hands on, with individualized exercise prescriptions and a focus on patient education. She encourages patients to take an active approach in their rehabilitation process to ensure they reach their goals. She uses a variety of techniques to assist patients, such as dry needling with electrical stimulation, manual therapy, and soft tissue techniques / cupping.

She is passionate about connecting and establishing relationships with patients and aims to make their time at physiotherapy as enjoyable as possible. She looks forward to working with patients of all ages and activity levels to achieve their rehabilitation and lifestyle goals.
